The Gold Coast House of Prayer is a worship, prayer, research and networking centre founded to train and equip intercessors for the advance of God’s Kingdom on the Gold Coast.
- We look to encourage intercession for key leaders in our city in the areas of cultural influence and to encourage intercession for the body of Christ in their marketplace ministries.
- Workshops and seminars featuring International & Australian leaders as guest speakers.
- Raise up Intercessors for local, national and international prayer assignments.
We aim to strengthen and encourage local churches across the city
We do this by:
- Providing prayer support
- Equipping prayer people for their role in local churches
- Encouraging a culture of honour for church and community leadership across the city
About the prayer room
- Space is available for private prayer.
- The Main Prayer room is available for bookings by prayer groups from different churches and ministries who may not have facilities for prayer meetings
- NOTE: The use of these rooms for prayer is free of charge.
What is Intercession?
Essentially intercession is about aligning our hearts with the heart of God
- Prayer is an activity of God that requires a response from us to achieve God’s heart’s desire. We catch His heart as we take time to be with Him, as we hear others share His word and as we spend time meditating on His word ourselves.
- Prayer goes beyond asking for ourselves, it’s where we make ourselves available to the Holy Spirit to impress on our spirit, the Lord’s burdens.
- This requires us to relinquish our own desires and agendas and place them in God’s hands.
Prayer therefore originates with God and returns to God.
- The Holy Spirit knows what and how we are to pray. We are to co-labour with Him, praying as He leads, with what has been impressed on our heart.
